Bringing Hope to Africa

Why help is needed

As of 2021, an estimated 14.9 million [11.9 million–18.3 million] children worldwide had lost one or both parents due to AIDS-related causes. Three quarters of these  children 11.2 million [9.1–13.6 million]) live in sub-Saharan Africa.

South Africa has the highest number of orphans in Africa, estimated at 2.9 million in 2020. This includes children without a living biological mother, father or both parents, and is equivalent to 14% of all children in South Africa. The average lifespan of an orphan is estimated to be 30 years of age.

Orphans in South Africa are exposed to poor basic healthcare, poor nutrition, sub-standard education, and suffer from anxiety, fear and depression because their basic needs are not being met.

Your Help Matters

The World Community Foundation is partnering with Queendom of Sheba Realm, African Kingdoms Federation, to build a family-style orphanage system that treats orphans as individuals within a caring, nurturing environment, ensuring that orphans remain integrated in the community.

This approach has multiple positive impacts for the community as a whole, improving health/medical, education, sports and community-centric services for the entire community.

A food production system will be in place to provide nutritious food to orphans on a daily basis, as well as combatting food insecurity in the community as a whole. Each component of this project provides vocational training opportunities, potential for employment / entrepreneurship, as children progress through to adulthood.

The World Community Foundation partners with Arabella International, whose mission is to provide the most advanced holistic and nutritional products based on cutting-edge absorption technologies to provide maximum nutrition.

Food plays a crucial role in humanitarian efforts, providing sustenance, comfort, and hope to vulnerable populations affected by crises such as conflicts, disasters, and displacement. Nutrient-rich meals not only address immediate hunger but also contribute to physical and mental well-being.

Beyond nourishment, food distributions foster a sense of stability and community, restoring dignity amidst adversity. Arabella’s collaborative initiatives with international organisations and governments strive to ensure equitable access to safe and culturally appropriate food, not only saving lives but also paving the way for long-term recovery and resilience.

living darfur

The “Living Darfur” video by Mattafix tells the story of the Darfur conflict through footage shot in a refugee camp in Chad, with the goal of raising awareness and pushing for a solution.

Funded by Mick Jagger, the video was filmed in collaboration with actors Matt Damon and George Clooney, as well as humanitarian agencies, and features a powerful message of hope and resilience despite the hardships faced by the refugees.

The video was viewed by millions and is a testament of the impact that can be created by single individuals on seemingly hopeless situations.
